Hung Ling

Hung Ling

Completed her Psychology major at the University of Barcelona, where she is currently finishing her Master’s degree in Social Cognitive Therapy.

Given her Hong Kongese roots, she has been specializing on her own time in (East) Asian psychological, identity, relational, and family wellbeing.

Hung-Ling is also familiar with and has an affirmative standpoint on LGBTQIA+ identities (especially asexuality), and non-conventional sexual and/or relational models and practices.

She has worked both separately and collectively with children, couples, and families and caregivers of diverse ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds, in conjunction with Social Services and other public and private institutions within Catalonia’s Child Protection and Mental Health systems.

Her work has had a special focus on children’s needs, parenting, attachmentstyles, and communication patterns within the nuances of each family. Hung-Ling has also collaborated in several investigations and has spoken on the topics of attachment, parenting, and interculturality; migratory griefs and processes; asexuality, and mental health in LGBTQIA+ communities.

Since 2018, she has been a founding member and current coordinator of an intercultural non-profit entity, Migraespacio, addressing and promoting the psychosocial wellbeing of young migrants and descendants of migrants, from a non-formal and more approachable perspective.

While her therapeutic style stems from Systemic and Constructivist approaches, her practice is rather integrative, and includes techniques from other therapeutic orientations that could better fit and benefit each person, at each moment of their vital and therapeutic process.

Practices in Catalan, Spanish, English, Cantonese, Japanese
